Bringing Baby HomeNina Sutton, MA, CGE, has joined forces with MFT3 in presenting Fairfield County with the Bringing Baby Home educational program for new and expectant parents. Ms. Sutton is the only certified educator of this model in Connecticut. Bringing Baby Home (www.bbhonline.org) is a Gottman Institute program, developed in Seattle, WA, based on a 6-year longitudinal study of the effects of adding a baby to the family.

In addition, she consults with women regarding the transition to motherhood. Her "Becoming a Mother" workshops are based on the Gottman principles and also address additional issues including identity, work/life choice, and childcare. Nina's work with families began twenty years ago as a director of one of the first nanny placement agencies in our area, providing services to corporate employees and others seeking in-home child care. It was during this time that she saw women face difficult choices combining work and family. Since then, she received an MA in Psychology in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, Gottman certification training, further study at the Benson-Henry Institute of Mind Body Medicine and is a member of the Postgraduate Association of Harvard Medical School.
